In December of 1999, the State of Michigan licensed Tree of Life Bible Fellowship as an official church body. In February 2000, seven adults began to meet as a core group to pray, study and implement the beginning stages of the church. Finally, on June 4, 2000, the first worship service was held at Lawrence Technological University in the Architecture building auditorium. Thirty-three people were in attendance that first day. In June of 2011, Tree of Life Bible Fellowship celebrated its eleventh anniversary.
