WHO WE ARE:

Tree of Life Bible Fellowship is a Christ-centered nondenominational church. In January 1999, the Lord gave our Pastor, Eric Moore, the vision to begin a ministry in the Detroit Metropolitan area. In August of the same year, Elders Sid Jones and Ronald White joined Pastor Moore in the ministry planning. In May of 2003, Elder Keith Crosby joined the leadership team.

In December of 1999, the State of Michigan licensed Tree of Life Bible Fellowship as an official church body. In February 2000, seven adults began to meet as a core group to pray, study and implement the beginning stages of the church. Finally, on June 4, 2000, the first worship service was held at Lawrence Technological University in the Architecture building auditorium. Thirty-three people were in attendance that first day. In March of 2016, Tree of Life Bible Fellowship moved to its new location in Royal Oak, Michigan and in June of 2021, we celebrated our twenty-first anniversary.

VISION:

To provide, by the Spirit of God, the Detroit Metropolitan urban area, a Bible-centered church for the purpose of deepening their relationship with, glorifying the person of, reaching the community for, our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

OUR EIGHT-FOLD PHILOSOPHY OF MINISTRY :

  • Exaltation of the Triune God

  • Education of the Word

  • Established through Prayer

  • Education of Believers

  • Equipping of Saints

  • Evangelism of the Lost

  • Extension Ministries

  • Excellence in Ministry

As a church, our purpose for existence is to be the dynamic, living body through which God can accomplish His work to His glory. Our philosophy and model of ministry is designed to produce faithfully devoted followers of Jesus Christ. We believe every biblically oriented disciple should use their gifts, talents, and resources to make the church the unique community it was created to be. Followers of Christ simultaneously infiltrate every segment of society (via their occupations, social and professional organizations, personal communities, etc.) as God's divine alternative representing Christ's Kingdom (Matthew 28:16-20; Matthew 5:16; Ephesians 1:11-12; Colossians 1:28-29).

"But blessed is the man who trusts in the Lord and has made the Lord his hope and confidence. He is like a tree planted along a riverbank, with its roots reaching deep into the water--a tree not bothered by the heat nor worried by long months of drought. Its leaves stay green and it goes right on producing all its luscious fruit."

Jeremiah 17: 7-8.
